RedBus Scammed Me in Collaboration With The Bus Operator [Update]

RedBus and its scams are increasing every day, I request everyone to not make any bookings with them. I recently booked a bus with them, but the bus did not arrive at the boarding point, and ₹2413 that I paid for the bus booking are still not refunded!

Redbus Bookings Are Not Trustworthy And They Never Refund Your Hard Earned Money

On 29th of January 2025 from Prayagraj I booked a ticked for Chandigarh. I chose the nearby boarding point and the bus was scheduled to arrive at 9:30 pm at the chosen boarding point, but it never showed up. I kept waiting for the bus!

I get on a call with the Redbus customer care after several attempts as their customer care is not reliable and is mostly run using bots. So I talk to the customer support narrating all that happened, she puts me on hold and never comes back, I disconnect the call after 15 minutes. 

In between, when only 30 minutes were left for the bus to reach the boarding point, I receive a call from the bus operator that they can not reach the boarding point, and they are 32 kilometers away. Since I had no way to reach them, as the rush was humongous due to Mahakumbh. And I knew nobody in Prayagraj who could help me reach them. So I ask them to refund my money, the bus operator asks me to talk to the RedBus people and disconnected the phone.

I made several attempts to reach out to the RedBus support but nobody on the other side helped me. Due to this drama I had to over stay in Prayagraj, next day I leave from Prayagraj and reach my hometown. 

I raised several tickets, but no resolution was given. To this day I have not received the refund! In one of the resolutions, they shockingly said, I have completed the journey, hence no refund is approved!

So I raise another complaint this time stating that I have a call recording with the Bus Operator where they are admitting that they did not arrive at the boarding point. The cusomer care guy this time asked me to share the recording in an email, so I send the voice recording to wecare@redbus.in 

Again I wait for a week, there was no response from Redbus. A few days back, I get a call from RedBus and they said, the bus operator is ready to offer me 50% refund! 

I staright away tell them, no! I want my full refund, as I suffered a lot and also did not get the service. They owe me 100% refund! I am not even asking for the harrasment I had, I am only asking for the refund of the bus ticket I bought!

Its again already a week, I am still not getting any response from RedBus! This is the kind of work they do, they did not take any ACCOUNTIBILITY! I am still waiting, the harrasment is not stopping! It is 12th of February, nearly 15 days up, no refund is provided.

I am really very dissaponted with RedBus and thinking about others who would have missed the journey that day, and how many people would have been scammed! I am particularly worried about the old people who are not tech literate.

REDBUS IS A  BIG SCAM!

I am never booking with them againg and I recommend others as well to book with them on your own risk! That don't take any accountibility!

Update: Finally, after 16 days and hours of persuation, I have managed to get these guys on their knees, and have just got the refund!

I am going to keep this post up, so others can also follow what I did to get their refunds! Also, I have been harrassed a lot in this matter. I am not compensated for that in any way. Therefore, I am not getting the motivation to remove this post.
