How to book Ticket in Vande Bharat Express Train 22439 to Vaishno Devi Temple Katra

If you are looking to book a ticket in Vande Bharat Express train 22439 to reach Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Katra, this is the right post for you.

The first commercial run for the Vande Bharat train to Katra is from the 5th of October, 2019. The source station is New Delhi and the last station is Katra. The train will depart from the source at 6:00 am and is scheduled to reach Katra at 2:00 pm.

This Vande Bharat express train will run 6 times a week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Booking Vande Bharat Express Train 22439 Ticket

To book the train ticket online, you need to go to IRCTC.co.in, log in using your account details. Go to the section book your ticket, as shown below:

Now fill in the details, in From field, enter the station name for example if you are booking it from New Delhi, put NDLS, for To field, enter the destination station which is Katra, this is what you need to enter SVDK. After this, select the date and click on Find Trains.

Now, go ahead and select the class you want to book your seat in. There are two classes, Ac Chair car, and Executive Chair car, pick one and click on Check availability & fare. At this point, you see the following results:

From here, all you need to do is, just click on Book Now. On the next screen enter your personal details, Name, Age, Gender, Seat Preference, Food. Once you have entered the required information, click on Continue Booking.

On the following screen, you will see the payment methods, just select your favorite and complete the payment process. That is all you need to do to book your seat on Vande Bharat Express train 22439 to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Katra.

Ticket Fare of Vande Bharat Express train 22439 Katra

The fare of this train from NDLS(New Delhi) to SVDK(Katra) is as follows:

• For AC Chair Car(CC): Rs. 1630 + taxes
• For Exec. Chair Car(EC): Rs. 3015 + taxes

For the 8 hours of journey, this fare is on a little higher side but if you talk about the food, comfort, and cleanliness, it is completely justified! The good thing is, this train is going to shorten the journey time by 4 hours, which is really good!

Unfortunately, I could not get a berth in the train 22439 for its first-ever journey to Mata Vaishno Devi Temple, Katra. However, I am planning to board the train after the 8th of October. Update

I somehow managed to get to the first-ever commercial run of Vande Bharat Express train and reached Katra on the 5th of October, 2019. Though, I kind of booked a round trip, so my stay in Katra was short-lived. Boarded the same train Vande Bharat express (22440) from Katra to Ludhiana and reached my destination on time at 7:30 pm.
