Kedarnath Yatra 2020 Begins on 5th of May - Only these people can go!

Hey all, hope all of you are doing well and following the lockdown properly. Please stay home and stay safe, take special care of your seniors and kids. The Kedarnath yatra for the year 2020 begins on 5th of May 2020. Temple doors were opened on 29th of April 2020. This year around, due to covid19 situation, the event was rather silent one.

Anyways, now the question is who all can go this year? Alright, I have a section below that explains everything in details, do check that out. But, before that, here are the photos from ANI taken on 29th of April 2020:

How to go to Kedarnath in Lockdown?

Unfortunately, this year only the people from Uttarakhand state can go to Kedarnath yatra. That to only the people who reside in Green Zone. Uttrakhand has 3 Red Zone Districts, Dehradhun, Haridwar, Nanital. Until further notice, people from these districts and all over India won't be able to visit Kedarnath Temple this year.

Like last year, I had planned to visit Kedarnath on the holy occasion of Kapaat opening, but due to coronavirus situation, I could not get there.

I hope in coming days, the CoronaVirus situation improves, so people from all over the country can go there to pay obeisance.

Uttarakhand Districts Allowed to visit Kedarnath

The cheif minister of Uttarakhand state allowed all the districts in the state that are in Green Zone to visit Kedarnath. Here's a list of all the green zone districts in Uttarakhand:

• Almora
• Bageshwar
• Chamoli
• Champawat
• Pauri Garhwal
• Pithoragarh
• Ruraprayag
• Tehri Garhwal
• Uttarkashi
• Udham Singh Nagar

The above is the list of all districts currently allowed to send its people for Kedarnath darshan 2020 until further notice.
